tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2062282765132313090.post1099844080711671871..comments2023-09-17T03:55:32.552-04:00Comments on ConservativeChristianVoice: Personal Spending & Time Values!Oscar Harwardhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15006676056798099178noreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2062282765132313090.post-29488953808533251902007-10-27T14:00:00.000-04:002007-10-27T14:00:00.000-04:00I agree completely with almost every thing you've ...I agree completely with almost every thing you've stated. <BR/>why do people spend ridiculous amounts of money on people and things they don't support. movies, drugs, alcohol, cigs, ect.<BR/>there are a few logical reasons why some do this (and i fall into the trap myself). first one being 'entertainment'. people are so desensitized by media and life in general that they feel the need to just feel anything at all. this can explain booze. yes it gives you a horrible hang over, and you swear to yourself that you will never drink again. but the moments in which you feel powerful, even envigorated by this 'happy juice', causes you to have feeling you don't have when you are in your normal state. it allows you to release, to express yourself...what is funny is that if you're sober and listening to a drunks epiphany, it sounds like nonsense, like jargin...slurring words and miscommunicating. though to them it is brilliant. <BR/>entertainment such as movies has a similiar effect. people want society wants something/someone to grasp onto, to allow them to feel as though they're not alone. to share emotions, for a thrill and excitement. i think you understand where i'm going with this...<BR/>so why can't god do the same for them? why don't they have their faith, their heart in an area which can truely save them, allow them to be free? maybe because cheap entertainment is physical, its easy to come by, it is the norm. and its at your fingertips whenever you want it.Your Kennedyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13341691027658705152noreply@blogger.com
