Obama Orders Dance Classes, Movie Nights, and Bingo for Illegal Detainees

Let’s see now. Americans are having difficulty in keeping employed due to a recession and many are finding it difficult to find jobs, to pay monthly house or rent payments, to make car payments, to keep food for their families on the table, and of course to pay their over burdened taxes, and many other necessities. Need worry for illegal immigrants. President Obama will “take care of these illegals”.
The first criminal activity for illegal immigrants is to falsify and/or purchase a counterfeit identification such as a Social Security Card, driver’s license, etc. These purchased and/or otherwise fictitious documents are stolen records, often on living American taxpayers. Illegal immigrants pilfer from the taxpayers as they receive Medicaid, food, education, and other benefits. Many illegal immigrants bring illegal drugs, and other criminal activity. An overwhelming number of arrested illegal immigrants are repeat criminals.

The Houston Chronicle reports that the Obama administration has ordered the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) department to implement multiple modifications to their facilities to make life easier, more comfortable, and pleasant for the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants (approximately 400,000) it detains annually. An internal ICE email highlights 28 different changes the organization will have to make to soften the look of its facilities, present a friendlier environment, offer better entertainment, organize fun activities, and provide illegal immigrant detainees with free access to email and phone services, as well as better dining and training classes.

According to ICE officials all of these changes are part of broader efforts supported by Obama "to make the immigration detention system less penal and more humane." In reality, these changes are akin to "creating an all-inclusive resort for immigration detainees."

Some of the changes the White House is ordering include:

• § movie nights
• § art classes
• § cooking classes
• § tutoring and computer training
• § free and unmonitored phone service
• § free email access
• § bingo
• § arts and crafts
• § more variety in dining options
• § self-serve beverage stations
• § fresh vegetable bars
• § fresh carrot sticks
• § hanging plants
• § recreation in natural setting
• § robust aerobic exercise

Also, ICE is expected to eliminate pat-down searches, lockdowns, and light-out for low-risk detainees, as well as provide vastly expanded visitation rights (up to 12 hours per visit) in its facilities.

The changes listed in the ICE e-mail are planned for nine different detention centers owned and operated by Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) across the country. According to the Chronicle, some of the changes "will be implemented within 30 days; others may take up to six months"

Illegal immigrant advocates are thrilled at the required changes. They have been advocating these transformations for years. Lory Rosenberg, policy and advocacy director for Refugee and Migrants' Rights for Amnesty International was delighted with the promised improvements: "Many of these points are very important to changing the system from a penal system, which is inappropriate in an immigration context, to a civil detention system."

However, ICE union leaders are appalled at the cavalier attitude towards the illegal immigrants they oversee and warn of the inherent dangers of such misguided policies. The officials are concerned the mandates will jeopardize the safety of their guards and agents, increase the potential for harm to other detainees, and cost the taxpayers more money in order to transform detention centers into an "all-inclusive resort" for immigration detainees.

"Our biggest concern is that someone is going to get hurt," he said, taking particular issue with plans to relax restrictions on the movement of low-risk detainees and efforts to reduce and eliminate pat-down searches.

ICE leadership also expressed concerns about safety issues inherent in lowering security standards for almost half million detainees, many of which are violent and have gang affiliations. Tre Rebstock, president for Local 3332, the ICE union in Houston explains:

some detainees may be classified as low-risk because they have no serious criminal history but still may be gang members that "haven't been caught doing anything wrong yet."

He also said eliminating lockdowns will make it more difficult to protect detainees from one another.

He said reducing or eliminating pat-down searches could allow contraband into the facilities, including weapons.

These concerns are justified. According to ICE's own report, as of September 9, 2009, 51% of the detained aliens were felons and 11% of the illegals had committed violent crimes. The report confirms that most common crimes committed by criminal aliens are those involving dangerous drugs, traffic offenses, simple assault, and larceny.

None of this matters to the ivory-tower elitist Obama. He condemned the people of Arizona for passing the SB1070 law that mirrors the US federal law on immigration calling it "misguided" and "irresponsible." He has refused to listen to the American people, 73% of whom agree with Arizona and its stance on illegal immigration. He stood beside Mexican president Felipe Calderon as he bashed Arizona and its people. He then applauded Calderon's defamation of America, while Democrats in Congress cheered and shouted their approval. He has refused to enforce our immigration laws and secure our borders. He has continued to push for amnesty while a vast majority of the American people are against it.

President Obama wants millions more voters who support his radical leftist ideals. Pandering to illegal immigrants, blaming America, and continually playing the racist card is how he can get there. This is the Democrat's best chance to overwhelm the American electorate and they're going for it. Damn the American people, full amnesty ahead!

Obama Needs To Retool His Executive Responsibility

Is President Obama as immature, lacking educational abilities, and/or short on professional issues as he seems to be?

Where, when, and what is left for President Obama to blame someone or anyone on? How long does he continue to play the ‘blame game’? When will Obama grow up to accept his own Executive responsibility?

For more than approaching 1.5 years as President, and for all of Obama’s failures, Obama is still trying to blame President Bush for any of his own malfunctions.

Now, he is trying to blame Congress on the BP catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico which is destroying our Ocean and the environment associated. Just how corrupt is the Obama administration? President Obama may be elected to his office, but he lacks the necessary education, knowledge, and experience to competently serve as President of the US. He record should also show he lacks the ability to appoint quality, knowledge, professionals members of his Cabinet.

While everyday seems to be getting worse with the ‘blame game’, Obama needs to retool his Executive responsibility.

Israel has eased its Gaza blockade, allowing some food items through for the first time in almost four years. But a recent deadly confrontation in that part of the world has given rise to new information that organizers of the convoy have ties to the Obama administration.

It is believed that John Brennan, a top adviser to President Obama, is the contact person within the White House for communications with the group Free Gaza Movement -- a coalition of leftist organizations with ties to terrorists and to a Turkish Islamist group. This group seeks to challenge Israel's blockade on the terrorist Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, according to a source close to Israel's Netanyahu administration. Acquaintances of Obama -- people like Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn -- are also key players in this relationship.

Jordan Sekulow, human rights attorney and director of international operations for the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), argues that Israel was simply protecting its borders. He does not think Israel should expect support from the Obama administration.

He says when a boat is approaching without stopping, "and [Hamas] get[s] within a certain perimeter, they shoot to kill. They don't try to board the boat and play nice, which is what Israel actually tried to do."

When more than ten people were killed after Israeli naval soldiers boarded a Turkish ship that was one of six in a flotilla headed towards the Gaza Strip, it caused a new wave of anti-Israel sentiment around the world -- especially from the mainstream media.

"Israel would've stepped further than any other country would in defending its sovereign territory because they know about the scrutiny they're under internationally," Sekulow adds. "These were paid terrorists."

Since the attack, Turkey has demanded an international investigation.

Hezbollah, Hamas Raise Money for ‘Terrorist Activities’ From Drug Trade in South America, Congressional Research Service Says

(CNSNews.com) - Amid growing concern about the illicit drug trade across the U.S.-Mexico border, the terrorist groups Hezbollah and Hamas have been linked to South American drug trafficking organizations–and the money Hezbollah and Hamas make from narco-trafficking is used to finance their organizations, according to the non-partisan Congressional Research Service (CRS).

“International terrorist groups, including Hamas and Hezbollah, have also reportedly raised funding for their terrorist activities through linkages formed with DTOs in South America, particularly those operating in the tri-border area (TBA) of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina,” stated CRS in an April 30 report.

As evidence that Hezbollah and Hamas are doing business with South American drug traffickers, CRS referred to comments by Anthony Placido, the assistant administrator for intelligence at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

In testimony before a House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on March 3, Placido stated, “Some DTOs based in the tri-border area have ties to radical Islamic terrorist groups such as Hezbollah. It is important to note that this is not an emerging threat per se, but one that has existed since the late 1980s or early 1990s,” he added.

“Investigations into these groups as part of DEA’s Drug Flow Prevention Strategy reveal DTOs are exporting cocaine from South America to Europe and the Middle East,” Placido testified. “There are numerous reports of cocaine proceeds entering the coffers of Islamic Radical Groups (IRG) such as Hezbollah and Hamas in Europe and the Middle East.”

Placido warned of the “danger” resulting from drug trafficking organizations and Islamic radical groups engaging in the lucrative cocaine trade: It “can lead to an unlimited source of cheap and easy revenue to carry out potential terrorist acts,” he said.

Hezbollah is a Lebanese-based terrorist organization with ties to Iran. It was formed in 1982 by Lebanese Shiite Muslim clerics who supported Iran’s Islamic revolution.

Hamas is the Arabic acronym for "Islamic Resistance Movement.” The terrorist group, dedicated to the eradication of Israel, is now based in the Gaza Strip.

Both Hamas and Hezbollah are designated as terrorist organizations by the U.S. government.

'Strategic relationships' a concern

The DEA has not yet responded to a request for comment on the CRS report. However, Michael Braun, the DEA’s former administrator and chief of operations, told CNSNews.com, “What concerns me the most is the fact that the cocaine trade brings Hezbollah and Hamas into very close contact with Colombian and Mexican drug trafficking cartels.”

Braun pointed to the potential for terrorist groups to develop “close strategic relationships and partnerships” with drug traffickers. “I believe that there is plenty of open source reporting that clearly reveals Hezbollah has connected with some Mexican drug trafficking cartels,” he added.

Dr. Matthew Levitt, senior fellow and director of terrorism studies at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy who has testified on Hezbollah’s presence in South America before congressional panels, told CNSNews.com that Hezbollah’s ties to Latin American drug smugglers poses a “significant” threat for U.S. national security.

“In the event that the nuclear confrontation with Iran gets worse rather than better, having a militant organization like Hezbollah on, and even within our border -- it certainly does pose a threat,” said Levitt.

“Hezbollah isn’t targeting the United States right now, but if it chooses to do so it would be very capable of doing so, both in terms of its presence and large financial and logistical presence in South America, particularly in the tri-border area, but [also] in terms of networks they have here in the United States,” he added.

“One of the things that’s of concern is that you see Hezbollah now engaging in trans-Atlantic drug shipments to Africa and failed states there and then north into Europe,” Levitt said.

According to a 2006 report by the House Committee on Homeland Security, "Members of Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based terrorist organization, have already [illegally] entered to the United States across our Southwest border."

The report noted, for example, that in December 2002, “Salim Boughader Mucharrafille, a cafe owner in Tijuana, Mexico, was arrested for illegally smuggling more than 200 Lebanese illegally into the United States, including several believed to have terrorist ties to Hezbollah.”

Furthermore, Robert L. Boatwright, assistant chief patrol agent of the El Paso, Texas sector, has said, “We have apprehended people from countries that support terrorism … they were thoroughly debriefed and there was a tremendous amount of information collected from them.

"These examples highlight the dangerous intersection between traditional transnational criminal activities, such as human and drug smuggling, and more ominous threats to national security.”

Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez was also quoted in the report: “If smugglers can bring in tons of marijuana and cocaine at one time and can smuggle 20 to 30 persons at one time, one can just imagine how easy it would be to bring in 2 to 3 terrorists or their weapons of mass destruction across the river and not be detected. Chances of apprehension are very slim.”

'Financial-narcotics nexus'

In his March 3 testimony, Placido pointed out that the DEA is working to “identify and track” Islamic radical groups’ networks in Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, “which are reaping the financial benefits from the lucrative European and Middle East cocaine markets.” The key to disrupting those networks will be an attack on the “financial-narcotics nexus,” he said.

In its report, CRS noted that South America is the sole producer of cocaine for the global market. Pointing to Justice Department statistics, CRS said the Mexican and Colombian DTOs combined “generate, remove and launder” between $18 billion and $39 billion in wholesale drug proceeds annually.

A 2004 study by the Naval War College revealed that Hezbollah raises close to $10,000,000 a year in the Tri-border region, although not all of it comes from the drug trade. “U.S. Southern Command estimates that Islamist terrorist groups raise between three hundred million and five hundred million dollars per year in the Triple Frontier and the duty-free zones of Iquique, Colon, Maicao, and Margarita Island [in South America],” the study said.

Dr. Ray Walser, the Heritage Foundation’s senior policy analyst who specializes in Latin America, and Vanda Felbab-Brown, a Brookings Institution expert on national security, agreed that the money Hezbollah and Hamas generate from their links to South American drug trafficking organizations is supplemental – a secondary financial source.

Hezbollah also has been linked to other financial schemes, including taxing the residents in areas where they operate.

Felbab-Brown told CNSNews.com that Hezbollah is more prominent in South America than Hamas is.

Iranian-funded and supported Hezbollah also has a presence outside South America’s tri-border area, in countries such as Venezuela, where socialist President Hugo Chavez, an ally of Iran, spreads anti-American sentiment.

In June 2008, a U.S. Treasury official stated, “It is extremely troubling to see the Government of Venezuela employing and providing safe harbor to Hizballah facilitators and fundraisers.”

Brazil, which is part of the tri-border area, recently has worked to stave off U.S.-backed sanctions against Iran.

The Brookings Institution’s Felbab-Brown told CNSNews.com that Hezbollah’s and Hamas’ “primary connection” is with the Brazilians and the Colombians.
