WISDOM

If you support our national security issues, you may love and appreciate the United States of America, our Constitution with its’ freedoms, and our American flag.

If you support and practice our fiscal issues, you may value worldly possessions.

If you support and value our social issues, you may love Judeo-Christian values.

If you support and practice all these values, that is all good; an insignia of “Wisdom” . - Oscar Y. Harward

One of the most striking differences between a cat and a lie is that the cat only has nine lives. -- Mark Twain

"The Patriot Post"

"The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny." -- James Madison

"I will also hold myself as president to a new standard of openness. Going forward, any time the American people want to know something that I want to withhold, we will have to consult with the Attorney General and the White House Counsel, whose business it is to ensure compliance with the rule of law. Information will not be withheld just because I say so." -- Barack Obama announcing his ethics rules on his first day in office..

Then we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.
Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson

Very Interesting Quote

In light of the present financial crisis, it's interesting to read what Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.'

Keep sending your Faxes to STOP this so-called economic "stimulus" plan. Americans are finding out what is in the "phony stimulus" plan and want it changed or stopped. Washington politicians need to get it as well and you must tell them. Your faxes and phone calls are beginning to work and some are listening. A Gallop shows that 54%, a majority of voters do not think the plan will do anything to help and that a better solution is needed.

Britney Spears’ Ex-Manager Sues For Defamation, Libel, Breach of Contract, and Other Damages

http://news.findlaw.com:80/hdocs/docs/spears/lutfibritneyspears20309cmp.html

Sam Lutfi, Britney Spears’ former "business and personal affairs" manager, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles, California against the pop star, her mother Lynne, and father Jamie

Lutfi is seeking damages for alleged breach of contract, defamation, libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and other relief.

The lawsuit maintains that "Britney approached Lufti and began discussing her family situation with him" at a nightclub near L.A. in early 2007. It says that "Lutfi was relatively well known within certain circles as a businessman who spent much of his time counseling and assisting homeless and wayward teens in the Hollywood area."

Lutfi is seeking damages for breach of an alleged 2007 oral contract "where [he] would act as Britney’s manager for a term of four years" and receive 15% of the income that she generated during that time.

He alleges that Britney’s mother Lynne libeled and defamed him in her book "Through the Storm, a Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World." He charges that Britney’s father "intentionally punched him in the chest," and threatened to kill him "if he ever heard that Lutfi ever again made a rude comment about Lynne or any other member of his family."

"Stimulus" Package Will Stimulate Discrimination Against People of Faith

www.LC.org

Contact your Senator and just say "NO" to the anti-faith "stimulus" package! Not only will the Obama-Reid-Pelosi leadership spend your hard-earned money on pork and anti-family projects, but they will also force people of faith into the closet.

Dangerous language is lurking in the stimulus package that will most certainly prove stimulating to religious censors and liberal groups like the ACLU.

Both the House and Senate versions of the bill provide that stimulus funds may not be used to improve facilities that are "used for sectarian instruction, religious worship, or a school or department of divinity...."

How outrageous! In order to receive stimulus money our public schools will have to expel after-school Bible clubs and churches that rent school facilities.

There is a link on the middle of our home page at LC.org where you can write your Senator today and tell him or her to make sure that the stimulus package does not censor your religious beliefs.

The Senate is expected to vote on the bill within a few days.

Read the Bill Text Here. (In PDF. Search for the word "sectarian" and you will find the language stated above.)

Phone calls need now!

February 4, 2009

Your phone calls are urgently needed now! President Obama has nominated David Ogden to be the second person in command in the U.S. office of the Attorney General! Ogden must be confirmed by the Senate.

Call your two senators and tell them to vote against the Ogden nomination. Ogden is no friend of the family.

• He has litigated numerous obscenity and pornography cases on behalf of clients like Playboy, Penthouse, the ACLU and the largest distributor of hardcore pornographic movies.

In various cases, he has filed briefs opposing:

• the military’s policy against public homosexuals serving in uniform
• the Children’s Internet Protection Act and the Child Protection and Obscenity Enforcement Act.

"The email Bag"

One Sunday morning an old cowboy entered a church just before services were to begin. Although the old man and his clothes were spotlessly clean, he wore jeans, a denim shirt and boots that were very worn and ragged. In his hand he carried a worn out old hat and an equally worn out old bible. The church he entered was in a very upscale and exclusive part of the city. It was the largest and most beautiful church the old cowboy had ever seen. It had high cathedral ceilings, ornate statues, beautiful murals and stained glass windows, plush carpet, and velvet like cushioned pews. The building must have cost many millions of dollars to build and maintain. The men, women and children of the congregation were all dressed in the finest and most expensive suits, dresses, shoes, and jewelry the old cowboy had ever witnessed.

As the poorly dressed cowboy took a seat the others moved away from him. No one greeted him. No one welcomed him. No one offered a handshake. No one spoke to him. They were all appalled at his appearance and did not attempt to hide the fact. There were many glances in his direction as the others frowned and commented among themselves about his shabby attire. A few chuckles and giggles came from some of the younger members.

The preacher gave a long sermon about Hellfire and brimstone and a stern lecture on how much money the church needed to do God's work. When the offering plate was passed thousands of dollars came pouring forth.

As soon as the service was over the congregation hurried out. Once again no one spoke or even nodded to the stranger in the ragged clothes and boots. As the old cowboy was leaving the church the preacher approached him. Instead of welcoming him, the preacher asked the cowboy to do him a favor. "Before you come back in here again, have a talk with God and ask him what He thinks would be appropriate attire for worshiping in this church," the preacher said. The old cowboy assured the preacher he would do that and left.

The very next Sunday morning the old cowboy showed back up for the services wearing the same ragged jeans, shirt, boots, and hat. Once again the congregation was appalled at his appearance. He was completely shunned and ignored again. The preacher noticed the man still wearing his ragged clothes and boots, and instead of beginning his sermon, stepped down from the pulpit and walked over to where the man sat alone. "I thought I asked you to speak to God before you came back to our church," the preacher said.

"I did," replied the old cowboy.

"If you spoke to God, what did he tell you the proper attire should be for worshiping in here?" asked the preacher.

"Well sir", said the old cowboy, "God told me that He wouldn't have the slightest idea what was appropriate attire for worshiping in your church. He says He's never even been in here before."
