Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan will not work for many of us as members in the senior community. Specifically, some of us, for different explanations, are left to live on a “fixed income”. Many seniors are already forced to continue work to pay bills, just to meet ends. Many disabled seniors are unable to work at all.
Under Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan, with no exceptions, seniors must not be forced to pay an additional Herman Cain proposed 9% tax on Social Security and any additional income, as well as an additional 9% Federal sales tax on all purchases, including food.
Conservatives President Ronald Reagan, Senator Jesse Helms (R-NC), and many others have always supported taking care of those who cannot take care of themselves. Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan has “no exceptions”. Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan is “immorally wrong” for seniors. Retirement for seniors should not be an added financial burden.
