Oil Prices v. Farmers’ Milk Prices

If (y)our baby is crying out for milk, common since would say, go to the store and purchase some milk. If the store’s prices were too high in cost, we should and would encourage the farmers to raise more cows and milk more cows; just to make more milk available and to bring down the cost of milk. Not so for Democrats on Capitol Hill.

The Capitol Hill Democrats answer is to regulate the farmer, control his cows, and tax the farmers’ number of milking cows. The reasonable common sense decision would be to encourage the farmer to raise and milk more cows; getting more milk into the marketplace, so as the consumer can purchase more milk at lower prices.

This issue of the season, as an analogy, is consumer gasoline prices. Finally, I understand. The Democrat Party team on Capitol Hill led by the Reid/Pelosi team has made a decision that Republican legislation for new oil drilling in productive areas will not be allowed to be voted on in the US Congress and/or the US Senate. Barack Obama is supporting the Democrats on the issue.

The Republican legislation is to make America oil independent. The Democrats continue to punish the American consumers with extremely high gasoline prices; causing other consumer goods to be met with escalating prices, also. In addition, the Democrats decision to refuse for new oil is costing our total economy in existing jobs as well as newer jobs. Capitol Hill Democrats say they want to allow more drilling; however, their decision is to allow drilling in dry, empty, or less productive locations. Capitol Hill Democrats continue to push new legislation to bring more control on the oil industry and tax more.

If President Reagan taught and proved us any lesson, it was that the open market with less government intervention generates a growing US economy! Everyone should know by now that new additional taxes on the products passes along to the consumer with added taxes placed on any product in the marketplace. When will the Capitol Hill Democrats learn?

Is the Capitol Hill Democrats protecting the OPEC nation citizens more important than protecting the American consumers? It certainly appears Capitol Hill Democrats are doing as much. American voters must remember on November 4 and hold Democrats directly responsible.

If the Capitol Hill Democrats take the Summer Break without voting to allow more drilling for oil in more productive areas, each should be held liable. Just say “NO” to Democrats on Capitol Hill! Consumers have been punished enough.

President Ronald Reagan – A Personal Legacy

A personal summary interface with a “giant of a man” in real life about a distinguished time within our US history.

I loved Ronald Reagan’s “Wisdom”. It was as if God provided him the right words, at the right time, and all the times. Yes, I did consider President Reagan a political friend. Ronald Regan ran for President of the United States in 1976, 1980, and 1984. I like to say I worked in each of the three campaigns. North Carolina Republicans provided Ronald Reagan his very first Presidential GOP Primary victory in 1976.

Over the years, I ask Ronald Reagan:

While spending a short private meeting with Ronald Reagan in a one-on-one engagement with another personal friend, I asked Ronald Reagan to just “Keep It Simple Stupid” (KISS). He did.

To keep his promises to support Conservative “Fiscal, Social, and Moral” issues to the American people. He did.

For a special invitation for my young son, Michael and me to his January 1981 Presidential Inaugural. He did.

Upon Ronald Reagan being shot by John Hinckley on March 30, 1981, and knowing God would take care of Ronald Reagan, I, with my son, Michael, went to town for purchasing a Get-Well card and mailed it with a special note to President Reagan. Inside that note, I suggested to our President that the next time he was to be in Monroe, NC, I would propose he purchase some new life insurance from me. He did not.

To remember Bobby Allison of NASCAR in his final race of the 1982 year in California, as Bobby was on his way to winning the NASCAR Championship, so long as he finished in fifteenth (15th.) place or better in that race. I proposed he make arrangements on national TV and congratulate race car driver, Bobby Allison on his championship. After Bobby Allison won the “Daytona 500” in February 1982, the first words to come from Bobby Allison’s mouth were, “I love Ronald Reagan”. The final race of the year was rain shorted, with little TV coverage of Bobby Allison’s victory, so there was no Ronald Reagan – Bobby Allison TV interview. It was covered via radio. He tried – TV Rained out.

In the Spring of 1983, and hearing for the first time Lee Greenwood's “God Bless The USA”, I immediately contacted the White House, asking Ronald Reagan to make contact with Lee Greenwood, and invite him to the 1984 GOP National Convention. Ronald Reagan met with Lee Greenwood in Nashville, TN. Lee Greenwood did sing “God Bless The USA” at the 1984 GOP National Convention. He did.

To telephone my dad and mother on their 50th.(?) wedding anniversary to “congratulate”. He did.

To appoint now US Federal Court of Appeals Judge, David Sentelle, of Charlotte, NC to be appointed to US District Court, NC Western District. Mrs. Shirley Bossbach also submitted a letter of recommendation for this appointment. Today, Justice David Sentelle sits on the DC Court of Appeals as Presiding Judge of the Special Division for the Purpose of Appointing Independent Counsels. He did.

Thank you President Reagan for sharing just one moment in your most memorable leadership by restoring our morality, for rebuilding our national economy, for rebuilding our US Military, for tearing down the Communist “Iron Curtain”, for tearing down the physical wall which separated the City of Berlin in Germany. But most of all, thank you for representing the “dawning of America”, by instilling in each of us the ability to “believe in (y)ourself”. Ronald Reagan’s success was his continual focus on “old time Common Sense”. He learned it. He practiced it. He lived it. He legislated by it. God was his Pilot. From an “ole time plowboy” of yesterday, Ronald Reagan was a “goodun”.

God Bless Ronald Reagan and God Bless America!

Have Union Leaders Destroyed Manufacturing?

According to AP News, AFL-CIO President John Sweeney is recruiting military veterans to work against McCain's US Presidential bid. Is Sweeney out to destroy America? Look at the history’s economic leadership under President Sweeney.

Our US economy has three (3) major problems which need an overhauling:

A. The current number one problem of today is the price of gasoline. The Democrats on Capitol Hill refuse to authorize additional drilling for oil. Oil resources are plentiful, safe to extract, and refine oil into gasoline. Escalating gasoline prices are destroying the family budget, including endangering their own home. It is jeopardizing our transportation cost for food, other necessities, for purchasing gasoline to and from work, grocery stores, doctors and hospital, even to and from their House of Worship. Democrats on Capitol Hill continue to refuse Americans relief by allowing American oil companies the right to drill for more oil, extract, refine, and provide more gasoline quantities at affordable prices. Some Democrat candidates seeking elective offices in November, 2008 are comparing the cost of gasoline today, as the cost when President Bush and/or the incumbent Republican took office, when it is the Democrats on Capitol Hill who refuse to allow American oil companies to drill for more oil in known locations, which will provide more gasoline at affordable prices. US Senate authorization of drilling for oil in ANWR using the existing pipeline which is currently operating at some 30% efficiency could give a somewhat immediate relief for consumers on our price of gasoline.

On the other hand, coal is plentiful, but not safe to mine underground although miners earn good salary incomes. My point is the danger of mining underground. Too many lives are lost as a somewhat irregular source. It is amazing as to why the Democrats on Capitol Hill will not outlaw underground mining of coal! I will bet you that it may primarily be because Union President John Sweeney, who supports principally elected Democrats, is still sending the union workers’ dues predominantly to Democrat candidates and elected officials. Why not protect the miners’ lives by outlawing underground mining? The workers must be protected, at all cost.

B. The housing industry has many Americans in deep economical strife. Many who purchased new homes did so at the highest flexible mortgage payment allowable based on their current monthly income. As prime rates rose, the squeeze on meeting escalating monthly payments became difficult to meet. Those who invented home loan flexible interest rates based on banks’ prime rates should apologize to the world. If home monthly payments are to be flexible rather than fixed, the flexibility monthly payment should be adjusted by our annual Cost of Living Adjustment. On this plan, a mortgage currently for example, at One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per month would be allowed to escalate to $1,030.00, if the COLA was three (3%) percent.

C. Manufacturing in America has left good paying jobs all over out nation; from many in our US steel industry, our US automobile manufacturing, furniture, textiles, electronics, etc. In the early 1960’s, General Motors maintained some 53% of the entire world wide auto manufacturing. Some years ago, our Midwestern states were stable in leading the world in steel manufacturing. The shinning manufacturing steel industries have become old rusty and/or demolished buildings. Today, GM is at seventeen (17%) in market share. Toyota is just before becoming the number one auto manufacturing company in the world while GM is shutting down four (4) more truck and/or auto manufacturing plants. Our other manufacturing industries have relocated their businesses to other countries, where the labor rates are more competitive and efficient. The number one problem in US manufacturing losses is the cost of labor costs and benefits, as demanded by President John Sweeney and his AFL-CIO, and other labor unions.

Organized Labor, with the aid of labor unions, helped built America. For the last upwards of thirty (30) years, labor unions have shattered our US manufacturing base; demanding more income and benefits for the worker(s). It is relevant to each of us to seek more income and benefits for our work on the job. So often, we all want to think we are underpaid. We must reevaluate ourselves and our US economy, thinking of others as well. My point is that the AFL-CIO has made so many demands on industry for their own membership; millions of jobs have left America for other countries around the world. Consumers have realized the world market may provide more quality products at lower prices than some manufactured by Americans employed by labor union employees. A better American manufacturing base provides a stronger US economy for our workers.

Sometimes, I speculate if any and/or all activist labor union workers can or will look into the eyes of their own children, their grandchildren, their friends, and others to tell them that they, themselves, may have been the failing manufacturing problem of so many jobs losing America; demanding more salary increases and/or benefits.

In summary, now John Sweeney, President of the AFL-CIO is recruiting veterans against John McCain for President of the United States? Many of John Sweeney’s decisions are demands which forced many in our manufacturing industry to shut down their business and/or relocate, making for a more pleasant, economical, and competitive environment. Quoting Sweeney, …"With the formation of the Union Veterans Council, veterans will be front and center in the effort to put our country back on track". Did Sweeney really say, “… put our country back on track”? His track? I hope not! America deserves better than Sweeney’s failing solutions.

America does not need any more of Sweeney’s leadership. America needs to rebuild our manufacturing base for a secure economy. We must not let AFL-CIO President John Sweeney destroy our US military and other government agencies.

Stop Illegal Immigration

FROM: The e-mail bag, and as edited:

I love our America and our American Flag. I served in the US Army to protect our flag, our freedoms, our US Constitution, and to honor our own Pledge of Allegiance. God Bless America!

Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately; illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida. Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It's a win-win situation!

1. Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.

2. Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies.

3. Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.

Any other problems you would like for me to solve today? On singing OUR National Anthem in Spanish?

I'm sorry, but after hearing they want to sing OUR National Anthem in Spanish - THIS enough is TOO much! NEVER!

Did they sing it in Italian, Japanese, Polish, Irish-Celtic, German, Portuguese, Greek, French, or any other language because of immigration?

It was written by Francis Scott Key (in English) and should be sung word for word the way it was written.

The news broadcasts gave a translation that's NOT even close.

Sorry if this offends anyone, THIS IS MY COUNTRY!

Would you allow me to come to your country and then allow me to demand that you sing your National Anthem in ENGLISH?

And, because I make this statement “DOES NOT” mean I'm against immigration! I support immigration. I am against illegal immigration. Every illegal immigrant who receives a fraudulent Social Security card is “STEALING” someone’s personal identification. Each and “every illegal immigrant is stealing” a part of some individual’s personal life.

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE IN MY COUNTRY AS A LEGAL IMMIGRANT!

Welcome and come through like everyone else has:

Get a sponsor!

Get a place to lay your head!

Get a job!

Live by OUR rules!

Pay YOUR taxes!

And LEARN THE LANGUAGE

DO LIKE ALL OTHER IMMIGRANTS HAVE IN THE PAST!!!

And please don't demand that we hand over our lifetime savings of social security funds to you to make up for ''your'' losses.

When will AMERICAN'S stop giving away THEIR RIGHTS?

We've gone so far the other way, bent over backwards not to offend anyone. But it seems no one cares about the AMERICAN that's being offended!

WAKE UP America!!!!!!!!

Democrats Decisions Are Cause Of Gasoline Prices

Do you believe Democrats on Capitol Hill looking for a compromise on escalating gasoline prices? Bull! The Reid/Pelosi leadership may be looking for a way out. Their political decisions are now reflecting their unacceptable approval poll ratings. The low approval polls now show that under the Reid/Pelosi leadership on Capitol Hill, their team has an approval rating of nine (9%) percent. Imagine, our US Senate and US Congress has a 9% approval rating of Excellent or Good; the lowest ever in our entire US history. The Reid/Pelosi team on Capitol Hill receives a 2% Excellent approval rating along with an additional 7% Good approval rating. Americans are catching on with the Poor ratings of the Reid/Pelosi Democrat team on Capitol Hill and rejecting their leadership.

The issue is the cost of gasoline. Democrats on Capitol Hill are directly responsible for our job losses, as well as new jobs, due to the prices of gasoline. Gasoline prices are tearing down the family budget, including their homes, their existing jobs, as well as new jobs. The escalating price of gasoline is leading to the cost increases of food, healthcare, and other necessities in life. It is even putting pressure with people on fixed incomes the ability to purchase gasoline, just to attend their House of Worship. American consumers are being forced to increase their limits on credit card use. When will America blame the Democrats? When will the main stream media report blame upon the Capitol Hill Democrats for escalating gasoline prices?

Our gasoline prices are now at $4.00/gallon and going higher. Fuel oil, for the Big Rigs, is approaching $5.00/gal. and increasing. Even with these escalating gasoline and fuel oil prices, the majority of Democrats on Capitol Hill continue to say NO to drilling for additional American oil, even though we, in America, have more reserves than the OPEC Middle East nations, all put together. The majority of Republicans on Capitol Hill are continuing to say YES to drill for more American oil. The issue is to drill, extract, and refine more oil to make more gasoline more readily available at affordable prices. Why not? Why not now?

Our American oil companies are only attempting to ascertain US Government permission to drill for oil where our government knows there is likely more oil. Many reports now show that we, in America, do have more oil reserves, just waiting to be extracted, than all the oil nations in the entire Middle East. The Democrats are attempting to force oil companies to drill again, and again, in the same areas, even though many drilling attempts and reports show the areas are dry and/or unprofitable. If you drill a well for water on your own property, and you fail to hit an adequate quantity and quality water, common sense will instruct you to look elsewhere for other water resources and/or locations.

Drilling, extracting, and refining oil for gasoline will preserve the family budgets, including their own home, our existing jobs, create new jobs; rebuilding our entire US economy. We must vote all Democrats who are destroying our US economy, out of each and every office up for election on November 4, 2008.

Americans deserve a better life. Americans are beginning to realize the escalating gasoline prices are the results of Democrats on Capitol Hill continually denying Americans gasoline at affording prices. Democrats on Capitol Hill are looking for a compromise only to dump their own baggage of denying Americans gasoline at affordable prices. The Democrats are now on the run, politically speaking. Their own tanks are now on empty. DRILL NOW.
