Inspiring Rare Footage of President Ronald Reagan Preaching God's Word

Why I No Longer Stand with Rand Paul

In the journey of life, it is easier to fall off the ladder than continue the climb to the top.  Some will ‘do or say anything’ in their personal pursuit when in fact, their blunders are stopping their route.  In doing so, their goals become so unclear, it is exhausting in defining which direction an individual is headed.

Unfortunately, and like many others who are starting in government, Sen. Rand Paul has become unpredictable as to which direction he is headed.  Rand Paul’s decisiveness are making his ends problematic, to say the least resembling ‘windshield wipers; right-to-left-to-right-to-left. - Oscar Y. In 2010, I endorsed Rand Paul for US Senate, and my Political Action Committee that supports anti-amnesty candidates contributed to and raised money for his campaign. Rand Paul's platform stated, "I do not support amnesty. Those who come here should respect our laws." He supported Arizona's SB 1070, opposed birthright citizenship, an "electronic fence" and stated, "our greatest national security threat is our lack of security at the border."

Now, I am regretting my endorsement and contribution to his campaign. Since Obama's reelection, Rand Paul has repeatedly waffled on immigration. In a speech before the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, he completely flip-flopped.

Rand Paul began his speech in Spanish and it went downhill from there. His speech was filled with virtually every single discredited pro-amnesty cliché you could imagine. He said our conversation on immigration must begin "by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants." He said he opposed amnesty, but then went on to promote just that arguing "The solution doesn't have to be amnesty or deportation-a middle ground might be called probation where those who came illegally become legal through a probationary period."

The problem is that not one congressman or major commentator has called for deporting all 12 million illegal immigrants. Rather, we argue that strict enforcement of employer sanctions and allowing local police to cooperate in immigration enforcement will encourage most illegals to, in Mitt Romney's words, "self-deport."

Rand Paul's speech actually came out against E-Verify, which even John McCain and Barack Obama support. That's not the only way that Paul is softer than Obama on immigration. Both Obama and the Gang of 8 say that the illegal immigrants must pay a penalty for legal status, while Rand Paul told reporters after his speech he is not "not as a big a stickler" on these items, because the illegals would not be able to afford the fines.

Rand Paul said that Hispanics were "natural" Republicans who the GOP should be able to attract through "Defense of the unborn and defense of traditional marriage." In reality, according to exit polls after the 2012 election, whites opposed gay marriage 50-47%, while Hispanics supported gay marriage 59-32%. Moreover, Hispanics are twice as likely as whites to have abortions. This, along with the fact that Hispanics are more likely to support big government and describe themselves as politically liberal than whites is a major factor for why they vote Democratic.
Instead, Rand Paul said that the only reason why the GOP is losing the Hispanic vote is because we have turned them off with "harsh rhetoric over immigration." Paul doesn't give a single example of what that "harsh rhetoric" was. Presumably it could have included his pre-flip flop position on immigration.

Rand Paul concluded his speech by quoting (in Spanish) the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. Paul did not mention that Neruda served as a Senator for the Chilean Communist Party.

Rand Paul has poised himself as a GOP insurgent, but his stance on immigration is in line with the usual Democratic and RINO establishment. It's not surprising that Lindsey Graham and Chuck Schumer both praised Rand Paul's speech. I doubt the grassroots conservatives who elected Rand to Senate and whose support he expects if he runs for president in 2016 feel the same.

When I endorsed Rand Paul, I did not expect to agree with him on every issue. I respect people with strongly held beliefs regardless of what they are. Most importantly, I felt that I could trust him to maintain his campaign promises. I was wrong. Oh how I long for a Republican leader who exhibits true courage and integrity. That's the stuff leaders are made of. By endorsing the McCain-Obama immigration policy when it became politically expedient, Rand Paul has shown himself to be just another politician.

Have Sodom and Gomorrah Been Discovered?

 http://www.icr.org/article/7312/

by John D. Morris, Ph.D. *

Scripture contains several “stories” that have been ridiculed more than others. Of these, the six-day creation, the global Flood, the parting of the Red Sea, the virgin birth, the resurrection of Christ, and other spectacular works of God receive special criticism. Another mighty act of God that tends to be disbelieved is the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Scoffers, both Christian and secular, have a field day with this biblical event because it not only involves God’s supernatural workings and cataclysmic acts of nature, it also represents God’s righteous judgment of sin. This is hard for people to think about, especially today when the specific sin being judged is homosexual behavior. Did the destruction of these cities really happen? Is there archaeological and geological evidence to support it? Do other ancient writings mention it? Yes, to all.

The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is a certain fact of history. The Genesis account is written in narrative form and alluded to by several other Old Testament writers. Jesus Himself obviously believed it1 and in fact was an eyewitness as the pre-incarnate Lord. Extra-biblical writings (including tablets unearthed at Ebla) mention Sodom and even give specific references to its location along the Jordanian shore of the Dead Sea.

Genesis uses Hebrew action verbs such as “destroy” and “overthrow” to describe the destruction. This does not necessarily infer total annihilation, and thus some remains might have survived. In the early 1970s, Jordanian authorities noticed well-preserved artifacts from ancient times flooding the black market. An investigation led them to an Early Bronze Age graveyard on the southeastern side of the Dead Sea that was in the midst of being plundered.
Along five “wadis” (dry riverbeds) flowing westward into the southern Dead Sea, an archaeological survey identified five ruined cities that appear to be the cities of the plain mentioned in Genesis 14:8. The most prominent and northerly one was in ancient times called Bab edh-Dhra, which seems to be the Arabic rendering of Sodom. Next in line was Numeira (Gomorrah), then the modern city of Safi (Zoar or Bela, to which Lot fled and which was not destroyed), then Admah and Zeboiim. The key was finding Zoar. Mentioned in other Scriptures and ancient maps, it led to the discovery of the other nearby ruins.2, 3

These five cities had all been situated along the Dead Sea Rift, a major plate boundary. At God’s command the rift ruptured, spewing great quantities of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons high into the atmosphere. These ignited, setting the whole region ablaze and covering it with “fire and brimstone.” Abraham saw the conflagration from Mamre, about 20 miles away. The fiery mixture almost certainly didn’t come from a point source, such as a volcano, but destroyed the whole area along the linear fault. The cities were crushed and burned, just as the Bible describes. The city of Sodom actually straddled a fault, causing half of it to fall about 100 meters. No one survived. Today, numerous bodies remain trapped in the rubble.

Biblical archaeologist Dr. Bryant Wood of Associates for Biblical Research located city gates, crushed graves, towers, a temple, the water supply, and thick city walls. Uninhabitable since the destruction, the remains were identified by Dr. Wood as Sodom and Gomorrah. Creation geologist Dr. Steve Austin studied the geological evidence, including the fault zone, the burn layer, the bitumen that erupted, and the city’s calamitous fall to its ruin. Together, they have confirmed the truthfulness of the Genesis account.

Eat lots of Sweet Potatoes – Quite Interesting Indeed!!

http://myhealingkitchen.com/soul-food/eat-lots-of-sweet-potatoes-quite-interesting-indeed/

It’s been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish. . .  All before making a human. He made and provided all the foods we’d need to eat before we were born. These are best and more powerful when eaten raw. We’re such slow learners. . .

God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!

God’s Pharmacy! Amazing!

For instance:
carrot.jpgA sliced Carrot looks like the human eye.  The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye…and YES science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

tomatoes
A Tomato has four chambers and is red.  The heart is red and has four chambers.  All of the research shows tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food.

grapes
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart.  Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows that grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
walnut.jpgA Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebelums.  Even the wrinkles or folds are on the nut just like the neo-cortex.  We now know that walnuts help develop over 3 dozen neuro-transmitters for brain function.

kidneybeans
Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
celery.jpg
Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and more look just like bones.  These foods specifically target bone strength.  Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium.  If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak.  These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
avocardo.jpg
Egg Plant, Avocadoes and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs.  Today’s research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervicle cancers.  And how profound is this? …. it takes exactly 9 months to grow an Avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 phytolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

figsFigs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow.  Figs increase the motility of male sperm and increase the numbers of sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

Kumura

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.
olivesOlives assist the health and function of the ovaries
citrus
Grapefruits, Oranges, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mamary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

onions
Onions look like body cells.  Todays research shows that onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells.  They even produce tears which wash the epithelial lasyers of the eyes

bananas.jpgBananas, Cucumber, Zuchini and more target the size and strengh of the male sexual organ.  It’s true!

peanuts
Peanuts have a profound effect on the testicles and sexual libido. Peanuts were banned as a food for males by the church ofin during the middle ages. Most people don’t realize that arginine, the main component of Viagra, comes from peanuts.

(Y)our Republican Party ‘Platform’ is a roadmap; lead by it, or follow others

By Oscar Y. Harward

What value is the Republican Party ‘Platform’ other than a ‘piece of paper’ when (y)our ‘GOP leadership’ is shaped and approved from the ‘grassroots’ of our Party, displayed as a roadmap for leaders to follow, but its’ precise and detailed values are ‘never applied’ or ‘required’?

Is it possible for the Republican Party ‘leadership’ to return our GOP and our nation back to include a ‘common-sense’ GOP Platform on ‘social issues’, or is the GOP going to continue downhill and into the sewer?

Will the GOP return to Christian values as our Founding Fathers established in our Constitution?  Many others are more than willing to follow the GOP as our Party will then expand.

When President Ronald Reagan said to ‘Build a big tent’, he explained the need to build the Republican Party with others who would support similar ‘social and fiscal’ issues some 80% of the time.  Support of the issues must be based on ‘differing’ issues; Liberal Democrat Party issues v. Conservative Republican Party issues.  President Reagan’s ‘win’ was to persuade others to accept his philosophy; and not for President Reagan, you and/or me to accept theirs.

The Republican Party Platform and its’ ‘leadership’ must subscribe to ‘Social, Fiscal, and National Security’ issues; in that order.  When the ‘Social’ issues become the forerunner, the other issue concerns follow in the ‘right’ path; not necessarily so in any other order.

If the GOP ‘leadership’ continues to degrade (y)our Republican Party based on ‘shameful’, ‘immoral’, and/or other ‘wasteful spending’ on fiscal issues, the Republican Party will die and ‘many others’ will move forward with another “Party” based on ‘moral, fiscal, and National Security’ issue values.

Our Republican Party does not need ‘Republicans In Name Only’ (RINO) or any other ‘Democrat look-alikes’ in our Party.

‘Main-stream Medias’ and Liberal Democrats steer the ‘out-of-control’ spending while ‘RINO’ Republicans join the left-wing Democrats’ proposals in crossing the ‘political aisle’ to vote and accept more additional spending.  Secondly, these same legislators prepare and dominate lower social standards.  These ‘left-wing’ agendas are wrong.

It is this ‘left-wing’ representation that has and is leaving our ‘ever-growing’ National Debt approaching $17 Trillion.  At the same time, our Judiciary, our ‘public schools’, and our Liberal elected and appointed bureaucrats are ignoring and/or disobeying our Constitution, US Code, and our States’ General Statutes.  Active elected and appointed Democrats and ‘Democrat look-alikes’ masked as ‘RINO’ Republicans are guiding our declining communities with more unfeeling, senseless, and lawless activity.  Our nation is becoming a ‘nation of individuals’ as our freedoms slide away from a ‘system of laws’.

There is more to being a ‘sincere’ Republican Party candidate than putting an ‘R’ beside any individual’s name.  A ‘genuine’ Republican Party candidate will support at least 80% of our ‘social, fiscal, and National Security’ issues as defined in our Republican Party ‘Platform’.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) must save our Republican Party’s ‘donor dollars’ in providing support for responsible GOP candidates who will support the GOP Platform, and to save our USA.  (Y)our Republican Party ‘Platform’ is a roadmap; lead yourself, or follow others to greatness in America.  Help all ‘devoted’ true Republican Party candidates make it happen!

GOD is never too busy if you know GOD

Author unknown

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.

Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God. I'm still waiting."

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence.

The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, "What the heck is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Marine calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So, He sent me."

Gov. McCrory and NC Legislators, Thank you for your leadership!

Gov. McCrory and NC Legislators, Thank you for your leadership!

By Oscar Y. Harward

It is almost comical for the Raleigh, NC “News & Observer” and others to criticize NC General Assembly’s congressional and legislative districts as created, delivered, and then approved by President Obama’s and Attorney General Eric Holder’s Justice Department.  It is comical because for many years, most of us in the NC Republican Party realized that we were being cheated on these same and other issues as you describe on the opposite political powers of government.

For more than 45 years of my involvement in the NC Republican Party, I fail to remember any criticism by the Raleigh News & Observer concern of the NC General Assembly’s congressional and legislative districts, even though NC Democrat Party’s controlled General Assembly continued multiple representation in both the NC House and NC Senate; a true violation of the NC Constitution.

Furthermore, ending the tax return check-off option to donate $3 to political parties based on the political party registration is equivalent to all Labor Union membership funds being donated to the top Labor Union leadership, regardless and absent of who the dues paying members may choose to support.  On that issue, I suggest the Raleigh News & Observer may share approval of that one-sided view.

“Early voting” in elections are important so as to turn out the vote and make it convenient and effective as reasonably possible; however, extensive dates and time can be and are too “lengthy, unwarranted, and expensive”.  Each and every qualified voter could and should be able to cast their ballots in a shorter “Early voting” time frame or “Absentee voting” within a reasonable period of time.  Members of the General Assembly will make adequate, but not excessive times for voting.

By the way Mr. Raleigh News & Observer Editor, prior to a US Judge’s decision in the fall of 1984, the NC Democrat Party’s controlled General Assembly would not even allow “cross-over” voting in partisan elections, and allow these votes to be counted.  At that time and before, only “straight-party” votes were counted.  A voter who wanted to vote a “straight-party” ballot, yet vote for another candidate in a different party was denied that “vote” of the another candidate(s) to be counted as he/her intended.  That was when Democrats outnumbered Republicans in “straight-party” voting by from some 3 or 5 Democrats to 1 Republican.

NC Governor Pat McCrory and the NC General Assembly are to be commended on their leadership in pursuing the majorities’ citizens’ expectations in many areas of wholesome leadership.

The Raleigh News & Observer, who has been sitting on the front row with a left-wing agenda of the Democrat majority General Assembly, must now take a back seat of their more progressive ideological agenda.

Decreasing government growth, less spending of taxpayers’ money, and lowering taxes for working North Carolinians is of most importance to Gov. McCrory and NC Legislators.
