NC General Assembly provides legal protection for NC public school teachers

In the past, teachers were at their own risk of being sued by students and/or parents for any minor or major incident as a teacher in the classroom, or depending on the NEA Labor Union’s membership dues that carry a cost to each teacher approximately $600.00 to $800.00 annually. 

For all these years, the Democrat Party General Assembly have left (y)our teachers naked from legal support in their profession. Now this year, the Republican Party put it in the budget to provide legal protection to the teachers. This alone will save each teacher an option to opt out of Labor Union dues for their legal protection http://www.professionalliabilitync.com/about/. 

By adding this legal protection, the General Assembly voted for the teachers and for public education. Every legislator should have voted to overturn Gov. Beverly Perdue’s veto that would have continued to  force teachers to continue to pay those excessive dues. 

These excessive Labor Union dues are tax deductible while the Labor Union will then turn around and provide campaign monies to Labor Union supporting candidates.
