For
those of you who do not know, Hans Georg Schultz placed the part in the TV
series ‘Hogan’s Heroes’ in World War II and
assigned Master Sergeant-of-the-guard.
Daily,
Sgt. Schultz played too friendly with the American war capture prisoners, and
was always caught in a situation as to what he was unable to report to his Camp
Commandant, Colonel Klink in Luftwaffe ‘Stallag 13’.
In ‘Stallag
13’, the American prisoners would manipulate Klink and get Schultz to turn
away; not to see what and how the Americans were escaping, and helping with the
French underground on espionage, sabotage, etc.
For
being too close to the captured American prisoners, and knowing too much, Sgt. Schultz was forced to deny his
knowledge. His common saying was, “I
know nothing”! “I hear nothing”! and/or “I see nothing’!
