The current 3 Union County, NC Commissioners must be complemented for rejecting a complete personal, business, and political life history to serve on any Board in Union County. These Board appointees serve at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners and usually without compensation. Each and every nominee, as appointed by the newly majority Union County Commissioners, are outstanding members in our various Union County communities.
Under the guidance of the previous majority, recently defeated “Lamey” Openshaw and current UC Commissioners, Tracy Kuehler and Kim Rogers, are demanding the same political ideals that Union County Commissioners are opposed to. The “Lamey” Openshaw/Tracy Kuehler/Kim Rogers team in Union County, NC is the equivalent to the Capitol Hill Democrat team of Obama/Reid/Pelosi as both teams attempt to “cram down (y)our throats” unneeded and unwanted legislation. Additionally, you must remember this same “Lamey” Openshaw/Tracy Kuehler/Kim Rogers team Union County Commissioners refused an additional 360 gallons per day for sewage to the Wesley Chapel VFD. That alone must question as to how much that team support our Volunteer Fire Department. While I, as a totally disabled individual, was hospitalized 5 times for 3 or more days in 2010, would not be allowed to serve on any “hospital and/or other medical” related Boards.
To the 2 of 3 member team of Tracy Kuehler and Kim Rogers, these “two big-time losers” are implants who came to Union County, NC from out-of-town and/or out-of-state. Union County, NC, without these 2 left-wing RINO’s, have become one of the most conservative, higher educational counties, and growing economic locations in North Carolina and our United States.
Union County, NC is reversing the radical left- liberal Openshaw/Kuehler/Rogers team by saving our local CMC-Union Hospital, reducing wasteful spending, and refusing to increase additional taxes. Our Union County Commissioners are rejecting those who are willing to serve Union County’s other citizens’ Boards to complete a total personal, business, and political life history in order to serve on any Board in Union County, NC. Recently, the reference Board member, Everett Medlin, donated some free work for me, as a totally disabled citizen, as Everett Medlin does for many, many others. Under the Openshaw/Kuehler/Rogers team rules, any donation would prohibit anyone from serving on any Board unless the donations were for their own personal campaigns.
Christian values run deep in these 3 families. Union County’s residents and visitors witnessed one of the most respectful “Christian” expressions in local government of my entire lifetime as Union County Commissioners Jerry Simpson was sworn-in as new Chairman, Todd Johnson sworn-in as Vice-Chairman, and Jonathan Thomas sworn-in as the third newly elected Commissioner.
Each newly elected Commissioner brought their own “old” family Bibles for the ceremonies. Jerry Simpson was sworn-in on a 1944 family Bible, Todd Johnson on an 1892 family Bible, and Jonathan Thomas on an 1891 family Bible. Each of the three new board members, in their remarks during “Commissioners’ Comments”, presented an illustration of their personal beliefs in good government and Judeo-Christian values. Government needs more fiscal and social values in government. As for many others and me in the audience, it was merely an evening of “Wow”!
There is no need to listen to the 2 remaining radical left-wing minority Union County Commissioners and their liberal following.
In Primary 2010, the conservatives of Jerry Simpson, Todd Johnson, and Jonathan Thomas won by more than 2.5 to 1 over “Lamey” Openshaw http://results.enr.clarityelections.com/NC/Union/15795/24891/en/summary.html.
