General
Election 2012 may possibly be repeating General Election 1996 when Sen. Bob
Dole, a wealthy businessman who provided financial support to many other GOP candidates over the years and acquired their support along with others, won the GOP
Presidential nomination.
At
the 1996 GOP National Convention in San Diego, California, defeated GOP
Presidential candidate, Pat Buchannan, requested Bob Dole’s campaign handlers’
permission to address the National Convention.
At
that time, I suggested that inasmuch as Pat Buchannan had a Conservative GOP
nationwide following and inasmuch as Pat Buchannan had no intention of creating
any problems to the Bob Dole campaign, Pat Buchannan should be allowed to
address the Convention. Otherwise, by
denying Pat Buchannan’s permission to address the National Convention, Bob Dole
would lose the November General election.
Pat Buchannan’s request was denied and history speaks for itself.
General
Election 2012 has a GOP Presidential nominee in former Gov. Mitt Romney, a
wealthy businessman who provided financial support to many other GOP candidates
over the years and acquired their support along with others, has now won this
year’s GOP Presidential nomination.
The
Republican Party is based on Conservative issues. No one has characterized the Conservative
fiscal and social issues brighter and louder than Gov. Sarah Palin as she leads
and represents the Taxed Enough Already (TEA) Party on the current issues. Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) arrived on the GOP
national scene at the 2008 RNC Convention in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Since her arrival, Sarah Palin has awakened
the grassroots of Conservative Americans while developing a strong following
within the true “common-sense” and more rational Americans.
It
appears Mitt Romney may be preventing Gov. Sarah Palin from a glowing part of
the 2012 GOP National Convention in Tampa, Florida. For Mitt Romney to win in November, Sarah
Palin must be a highlight in Tampa to bring together the massive TEA Party
members and supporters, and to get out their vote. In lieu of Sarah Palin’s support and the TEA
Party backing, it will become most difficult for Mitt Romney to win the
November 6 General Election.
The
GOP National Convention and the November 6 election are just around the bend. What and how will Mitt Romney do and/or act? Is Mitt Romney fumbling his own campaign to
repeat the 1996 GOP National Convention and obstruct his own 2012 Presidential
Election?
