Do Democrats Legislate 'Pay to Play’ In ‘Stimulus’

The majority Democrats with a very few Republicans on Capitol Hill now are pushing for a so-called ‘Stimulus’, at American taxpayers cost of an additional debt of $3,333 each, or a household of four in excess of $13,000 debt. When and how can they ever pay? This is in addition to the American taxpayers’ debt exceeding $9 Trillion. This proposed ‘Stimulus’ is to cost our taxpayers of more than $200,000 per job.

A report just released said the Treasury Department bought stocks and other assets from the banking giant, AIG, for amounts well over market value. The report said the overpayments add up to a $78 billion subsidy for the firms due to economic unprofessional, stupidity. A loss of $78 Billion to American taxpayers!

Why did SEC regulators of the Clinton Administration, as well as the Bush Administration, turn their eyes and their ears away from Harry Markopolos who continually tried to warn the SEC of Madoff’s falsifying his earnings?

America is in economic trouble. American dollars went to Communist China with manufacturing. Labor Unions like the AFL-CIO, the United Auto Workers (UAW), United Steelworkers (USW), and others have forced American manufacturing to relocate to other countries, or go out of business. American consumers have discovered equal or superior foreign made goods can be purchased for less.

Our dollars went to Japan with electronics and automobiles. When did you last purchase a television made in America? Here again, consumers have discovered the higher quality of Panasonic, Sanyo, Honda, Toyota, and the list goes on. Many of these Japanese manufacturing companies have relocated to America for manufacturing, without the $150,000 annual cost of ‘Organized Labor’ employees’ salaries and benefits.

Our energy dollars went to Saudi Arabia for oil. While America has more oil and gas reserves underground and off the US coast, Democrats refuse to locate, recapture, refine, and sell American gas and oil. With reports of millions of dollars going into Bill Clinton and Obama campaigns and other uses, it makes you question as to whether some of the Democrats are practicing ‘pay-to-play’ with our taxpayers. America arguably has more oil than Saudi Arabia. Why do the Democrats continue to punish consumers, releasing us from the OPEC nations? Why?

The American housing is in an economic downfall. Leaders on Capitol Hill, like Sen. Chris Dodd and Rep. Barney Frank, pressured Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae into approving mortgages to some, whom were not likely ever able to pay to the entire term. Sen. Dodd, himself, even got many thousands of dollars for his own campaign. There have been no investigations. Why?

Why do the Legislators fail to call for hearings to investigate AIG, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Bank of America, Citigroup, etc.? Why do the Legislators fail to investigate and prosecute as these Legislators pursued Enron Corporation? Why?

This ‘Stimulus’, as presented, offers more giveaway problems. We must correct the existing wrongs, including investigations and prosecutions, before more wasteful spending of taxpayers’ money. More taxpayers’ money may be headed for ‘pay to play’ to contributors and/or other corrupt activity.
