WISDOM

If you support our national security issues, you may love and appreciate the United States of America, our Constitution with its’ freedoms, and our American flag.

If you support and practice our fiscal issues, you may value worldly possessions.

If you support and value our social issues, you may love Judeo-Christian values.

If you support and practice all these values, that is all good; an insignia of “Wisdom” . - Oscar Y. Harward

Khruswhchev, Brezhnev, Obama, and the U.S. Senate blinked on U.S.-Russia Treaty

By Oscar Y. Harward

In October, 1962, President Kennedy addressed the nation telling Americans that Russia had started installing ballistic missiles in Cuba. President Kennedy demanded that the Cuban missiles be removed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0MUbVQl9Ns .

Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev “blinked” and agreed to remove all missiles as demanded by President Kennedy.

President Carter pardoned draft dodgers of the Vietnam War. President Carter delivered an energy policy which led to oil and gas shortages, and long waits at the gasoline pumps. President Carter stopped the B-1 bomber program. President gave away the Panama Canal. President Carter signed a Social Security legislation promising to keep Social Security solvent until 2030. Muslim Ayatollah Khomeini took control of Iran by ousting the Shah of Iran. In November, 1979, Iranian militants overran our U.S. Enbassy in Tehran and held sixty-six American hostages for four hundred forty-four days. In April 1980, President Carter failed in an effort to rescue the sixty-six American hostages. President provided a $118 million aid package to Nicaragua’s new Communist’s leader, Daniel Ortega.

President Carter’s one Presidential four-year term was founded on many failures and one major victory; an agreement between the nations of Egypt and Israel.

Immediately following President Reagan’s inauguration in January, 1981, all Amerian hostages in Iran were released.

Candidate Ronald Reagan was vocal in criticizing almost all of President Carter’s economic, social, and national security plans. President Reagan’s loudest destain was President Carter’s proposed Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT) agreement.

President Reagan’s plan was to change policy from “arms limitation” to “arms reduction”. President Reagan signed Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START), reducing ballistic missiles with multiple warheads by up to 50%.

In June 1987, President Reagan called on Soviet Premier Mikail Gorbachev to "Tear Down This Wall", a wall that had been separating the City of Berlin since 1961 between Communist East and the free West in an effort to prevent many Germans departing Communist Germany and entering free Germany http://www.historyplace.com/speeches/reagan-tear-down.htm.

Soviet Premier Leonid Brezhnev “blinked” on the original START and tore down the Berlin Wall in November, 1989.

In this early December, 2010, we recieve a report that Russia has provided Venezuela with 1,800 anti-aircraft missiles http://hotair.com/archives/2010/12/12/venezuela-acquired-1800-antiaircraft-missiles-from-russia-last-year/ . President Obama makes no demands to stop Russia from providing weaponry to Venezuela or any other terrorist-supporting nations.

Within a few days, the U.S. Senate started debating a new START Treaty as proposed by President Obama. A few days later, we get a report from the Wall Street Journal, “Russia Warns Against START Changes” http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703886904576032003686144640.html?mod=googlenews_wsj.

President Obama promised to fully develop a U.S. missile defense system in Europe http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/12/18/AR2010121802999.html. Will President Barack Obama follow through on the promises he made to the Senate to fully develop a U.S. missile defense system in Europe http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/12/18/AR2010121802999.html? In 2008, as candidate Obama, he promised a liberal pacifist group, Caucus 4 Priorities, for major cuts in defense spending, slow or suspend future combat systems, abolish spending weapons of space, and slash our ballistic missile defense system http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7o84PE871BE. What has President Obama promised Americans on any issue that he has not reversed his position on?

President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, all U.S. Senate Democrats, thirteen U.S. Senate Republicans, and 2 Senate Independent Party members “blinked” on this U.S.-Russia START Treaty.

From Newmax.com: “Retired Army Maj. Gen. John Singlaub tells Newsmax that the START weapons limitation pact would weaken the United States and President Barack Obama and that the Democrats are trying to “sneak” it through a lame-duck session of Congress”. http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/singlaub-start-america-russia/2010/12/20/id/380536?s=al&promo_code=B572-1.

From WorldNetDaily: "The Russians have snookered the Obama administration," Kwapisz told WND, "They got virtually everything they wanted but gave up nothing of importance to us on verification, missile defenses and their advantage in tactical nuclear weapons." http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=243041.

From the Heritage Foundation: “In the spring of 2009, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton handed Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov a plastic button that was supposed to read “reset” on both sides, once in English and once in Russian. But while the Obama Administration got the English part right, the State Department got the Russian word for “reset” wrong, instead emblazoning the button with the word “overload”.” http://blog.heritage.org/2010/12/22/morning-bell-merry-christmas-moscow.
