WISDOM

If you support our national security issues, you may love and appreciate the United States of America, our Constitution with its’ freedoms, and our American flag.

If you support and practice our fiscal issues, you may value worldly possessions.

If you support and value our social issues, you may love Judeo-Christian values.

If you support and practice all these values, that is all good; an insignia of “Wisdom” . - Oscar Y. Harward

122 Democrats and 26 Republicans vote “NO” on Patriot Act extensions that protects Americans

By Oscar Y. Harward

It is difficult to understand so many in the U.S. House who voted “NO” on extending the “Patriot Act”. The “Patriot Act”: http://www.fincen.gov/statutes_regs/patriot/ was initiated to eavesdrop on specific communications to ascertain critical intelligence to prevent terrorism in America, and protecting Americans.

Passage of the “Patriot Act” extension required a two-third “YES” vote. The total vote was 277-Yes, 148-No, and 9-NoVotes.

Republicans voted 210-Yes to 26-No. Democrats voted 67-Yes to 122-NO. There are no Independents in the House http://clerk.house.gov/cgi-bin/vote.asp?year=2011&rollnumber=26.

This vote in the U.S. House is America’s loss in support of terrorism while protecting our Constitutional freedoms for American citizens.

While it is understandable for 122 Capitol Hill Democrats would vote “NO” with Rep. Nancy Pelosi and many additional anti-American voting Democrats, it is difficult to understand why 26 Republicans would vote with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Elijah Cummings, Barney Frank (MA), Dennis Kucinich, Maxine Waters, and Henry Waxman. These same 26 Republicans voted “NO” and against Speaker of the House John Boehner, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Michele Bachmann, Marsha Blackburn, Sue Myrick, Mike Pence, and others.

It is mysterious as to who led 26 Republicans to vote in support of terrorism and to vote anti-American. Perhaps, a few of the new members were erroneously misled and/or failed to understand the significance of their votes. Each may try to explain and substantiate their vote but the fact is that they may have voted in support of terrorism and may have voted anti-American.

Below is a list of “all” U.S. House members who voted “NO” on extension of the Patriot Act. Republicans who voted as anti-American are CAPITOLIZED.
