WISDOM

If you support our national security issues, you may love and appreciate the United States of America, our Constitution with its’ freedoms, and our American flag.

If you support and practice our fiscal issues, you may value worldly possessions.

If you support and value our social issues, you may love Judeo-Christian values.

If you support and practice all these values, that is all good; an insignia of “Wisdom” . - Oscar Y. Harward

Seeking to better understand shows you are open to feedback and care about your listeners. -- Leslie C. Aguilar

"The Patriot Post"

"Finally, there seem to be but three Ways for a Nation to acquire Wealth. The first is by War as the Romans did in plundering their conquered Neighbours. This is Robbery. The second by Commerce which is generally Cheating. The third by Agriculture the only honest Way; wherein Man receives a real Increase of the Seedthrown into the Ground, in a kind of continual Miracle wrought by the Hand of God in his favour, as a Reward for his innocent Life, and virtuous Industry." -- Benjamin Franklin

"I'm not running for president because I think I'm blessed with such personalgreatness that history has anointed me to save our country in its hour ofneed. My country saved me. My country saved me, and I cannot forget it. AndI will fight for her for as long as I draw breath, so help me God." --- John McCain

I spent 25 years in the private sector. I've done business in many foreign countries. I know why jobs come and why they go away. And I know that liberals don't have a clue. [Democrats] think we have the biggest and strongest economy in the world because of our government. They're wrong. America is strong because of the ingenuity and entrepreneurship and hard work of the American people. - Mitt Romney

And now, the stupidity of Obama for opening his mouth without previously "known information". Obama owes McCain an apology.

ELECTION 2008Obama oops: War injuries prevent McCain from e-mailingCampaign issued ad today mocking GOP candidate for lack of computer savvy

Image from Obama campaign adA Barack Obama ad that mocks John McCain for not being able to use a computer and send an e-mail apparently didn't take into account the fact that the Republican presidential nominee can't use a keyboard because of the severe injuries he suffered as a Navy pilot and POW during the Vietnam war.

A Boston Globe report eight years ago cited by the National Review's Jonah Goldberg said McCain's "severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes."

But the Obama campaign ad posted on the Internet today poked fun at McCain for admitting "he still doesn't know how to use a computer, can't send an e-mail."

The text of the ad says: 1982. John McCain goes to Washington. Things have changed in the last 26 years. But McCain hasn't. He admits he still doesn't know how to use a computer, can't send an e-mail, still doesn't understand the economy and favors $200 billion in new tax cuts for corporations, but almost nothing for the middle class.

After one president who was out of touch, we just can't afford more of the same.
My name is Barack Obama, and I approve this message.

"Human Events"

Near the end of a town hall meeting in Johnstown, Pa., a woman arose to offer a passionate plea to Barack Obama to "stop these abortions."

Obama's response was cool, direct, unequivocal.

"Look, I got two daughters -- 9 years old and 6 years old. ... I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby."
"Punished with a baby."

"The e-mail Bag"

Out of respect for the U.S. flag, never:

dip it for any person or thing, even though state flags, regimental colors and other flags may be dipped as a mark of honor.

display it with the union down, except as a signal of distress.

let the flag touch anything beneath it: ground, floor, water, merchandise.

carry it horizontally, but always aloft.

fasten or display it in a way that will permit it to be damaged or soiled.

place anything on the flag, including letters, insignia, or designs of any kind.

use it for holding anything.

use it as wearing apparel, bedding or drapery. It should not be used on a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be attached to the uniform of patriotic organizations, military personnel, police officers and firefighters.

use the flag for advertising or promotion purposes or print it on paper napkins, boxes or anything else intended for temporary use and discard.

During the hoisting or lowering of the flag or when it passes in parade or review, Americans should stand at attention facing the flag and place their right hand over the heart. Uniformed military members render the military salute. Men not in uniform should remove any headdress and hold it with their right hand at their left shoulder, the hand resting over the heart. Those who are not U.S. citizens should stand at attention.

When the flag is worn out or otherwise no longer a fitting emblem for display, it should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
