WISDOM

If you support our national security issues, you may love and appreciate the United States of America, our Constitution with its’ freedoms, and our American flag.

If you support and practice our fiscal issues, you may value worldly possessions.

If you support and value our social issues, you may love Judeo-Christian values.

If you support and practice all these values, that is all good; an insignia of “Wisdom” . - Oscar Y. Harward

Sen. “Flimsy Lindsey” Graham

There seems to be little difference on social issues between Sen. Lindsey Graham and the majority Liberal Democrat leaders on Capitol Hill. When you read and understand the National Republican Party Platform http://www.gop.com/2008Platform/ you must question as to why Sen. Graham professes to be a Republican. It appears Sen. Lindsey Graham is becoming “Flimsy Lindsey” in failing to support the SC electorate and the GOP Platform.

From the GOP Platform: ‘Appointing Constitutionalist Judges for the Nation’s Courts’

http://www.gop.com/2008Platform/GovernmentReform.htm#9

'We oppose stealth nominations to the federal bench, and especially to the Supreme Court, whose lack of a clear and distinguished record leaves doubt about their respect for the Constitution or their intellectual fortitude. Nominees must have a record of fidelity to the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law.’

From CBS News: After Sotomayor's said a "wise Latina woman" may come to better judicial decisions than a white male, Graham said, "If I'd said such things about the superiority of a Caucasian made, I'd have had my head handed to me."’

From the Washington Post: ’GRAHAM: Well, Judge, to be honest with you, your record as a judge has not been radical by any means. It's, to me, left of center. But your speeches are disturbing, particularly to -- to conservatives. . . . Those speeches to me suggested gender and racial affiliations in a way that a lot of us wonder: Will you take that line of thinking to the Supreme Court in these cases of first precedent?’

As SCOTUS Justice Sotomayor is ruling on issues such as supporting abortion, rather than life, limiting gun rights, rather than supporting the 2nd. Amendment of our US Constitution, and many other major issues, we/you must always remember Sen. “Flimsy Lindsey” for his support of the issues we oppose, as true Conservatives.

Remember, more than sixty (60%) percent of Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s rulings, then appealed to SCOTUS were overturned. Is this the judgments you support? Does Graham support the same social values as President Obama?

Mark Levin, top-rated conservative political commentator on WABC New York says. ‘… it was a sign that Graham is “unreliable ... as a thinker and a leader.”’ ‘Wendy Long, counsel for the conservative Judicial Confirmation Network, called it proof that Graham “still lacks courage, statesmanship and an understanding of the Constitution and rule of law.”’

Every voting citizen in America, and specifically South Carolinians, must have reservations as to why “Flimsy Lindsey” Graham would question Judge Sotomayor’s judgment, then turn around and vote “Aye” to Sonia Sotomayor as a “lifetime” appointment to SCOTUS?

Respectfully submitted,
