WISDOM

If you support our national security issues, you may love and appreciate the United States of America, our Constitution with its’ freedoms, and our American flag.

If you support and practice our fiscal issues, you may value worldly possessions.

If you support and value our social issues, you may love Judeo-Christian values.

If you support and practice all these values, that is all good; an insignia of “Wisdom” . - Oscar Y. Harward

Replace UAW President Gettlefinger, Save GM, Chrysler

President Obama, members on Capitol Hill, and Obama’s administration government appointees are to bail out GM using American taxpayers’ money. If President Obama has the legal authority to remove GM CEO Rick Wagoner, surely President Obama has the authority to remove UAW President Ron Gettelfinger.

Obama’s decision to replace GM’s Wagoner was to solve all problems in saving GM. Not so! UAW leaders and members failed to genuinely negotiate with GM, and President Obama’s administration refuses to demand UAW’s required reasonable negotiations.

President Obama should replace UAW President Ron Gettelfinger to save GM and Chrysler. With that decision, President Obama’s legal counsel could go into US Bankruptcy Court, require the UAW employees total labor cost be reduced by 33% to 50%, from some $150,000 annually to some $75,000 to $100,000 annually. This still substantial proposed income would leave the UAW labor force with a somewhat comfortable living income with benefits. GM and Chrysler can than endure as an integral part of American manufacturing. To survive, GM and Chrysler must be competitive in the marketplace. UAW members must reduce annual labor cost and benefits for GM and Chrysler, as well as for American and worldwide consumers. This “change” will immediately mushroom an additional 1 million jobs for our future generations. Americans need jobs now.

American taxpayers must not own 70% of GM, Chrysler, or any other industry in a free American economy. Government ownership and management in any free economy, transforms a generous economy into pure Socialism. Any open, free economy appoints, elect, and/or chooses its’ management. There is no capacity for appointed government bureaucrats to operate GM, Chrysler, or any other industry in a free American economy. Our manufacturing economy must be restored, but not with taxpayers’ manufacturing labor cost of $150,000 annually, which exceeds the equivalent of University Professors.
