WISDOM

If you support our national security issues, you may love and appreciate the United States of America, our Constitution with its’ freedoms, and our American flag.

If you support and practice our fiscal issues, you may value worldly possessions.

If you support and value our social issues, you may love Judeo-Christian values.

If you support and practice all these values, that is all good; an insignia of “Wisdom” . - Oscar Y. Harward

Lean on Each Other Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). Father, help me not to be too proud to ask others for help.

"We love each other as a result of His loving us first." (1 John 4:19)

"The Patriot Post"

"Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, and their blood." -- John Adams

2nd Amendment: Holder calls for another gun ban

Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL), a former Black Panther, introduced Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 (H.R. 45).. The bill has no cosponsors to date, but it aims to implement a "system of licensing for purchasers of certain firearms and for a record of sale system for those firearms, and for other purposes." The system includes requiring all handgun owners to submit a federal application including a photo, address, thumbprint, mental health records, a written firearm safety test and a fee. The attorney general would then use that information to establish a database of all handgun sales, transfers and owners' addresses. It would then become illegal to own a "qualifying firearm" -- "any handgun; or any semiautomatic firearm that can accept any detachable ammunition feeding device" -- without a license.

The BIG lie

"[W]e have lived through an era where too often, short-term gains were prized over long-term prosperity; where we failed to look beyond the next payment, the next quarter, or the next election. A surplus became an excuse to transfer wealth to the wealthy instead of an opportunity to invest in our future. Regulations were gutted for the sake of a quick profit at the expense of a healthy market. People bought homes they knew they couldn't afford from banks and lenders who pushed those bad loans anyway. And all the while, critical debates and difficult decisions were put off for some other time on some other day." -- BHO

The Burden of Proof Lies on Islam

“Islam Should Prove It’s A Religion of Peace,” insists Tawfik Hamid in yesterday’s Wall Street Journal. Hamid, a Muslim reformer and former member of an Egyptian Terrorist organization, can’t understand why the West is so upset about Geert Wilders’ film, Fitna. Don’t blame the messenger, says Hamid:

Many Muslims seem to believe that it is acceptable to teach hatred and violence in the name of their religion—while at the same time expecting the world to respect Islam as a religion of peace, love and harmony.

Scholars in the most prestigious Islamic institutes and universities continue to teach things like Jews are “pigs and monkeys,” that women and men must be stoned to death for adultery, or that Muslims must fight the world to spread their religion. Isn’t, then, Mr.. Wilders’s criticism appropriate? Instead of blaming him, we must blame the leading Islamic scholars for having failed to produce an authoritative book on Islamic jurisprudence that is accepted in the Islamic world and unambiguously rejects these violent teachings.

If you would like to see Tawfik expand on these themes from his perspective as a former jihadist, the Ethics and Public Policy Center and Coldwater Media have co-produced a documentary entitled In the Red Chair: Tawfik Hamid, whose trailer you can watch here.

In other news, it appears that the International Criminal Court at the Hague has gotten itself into a pickle with the more extreme factions of Islam.. On Friday, officials from Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah joined Syria's parliament speaker and the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group for talks with Sudanese President al-Bashir in Khartoum, only days after the ICC issued a warrant for al-Bashir's arrest on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Sudan's western Darfur region. The delegation’s aim is to express international support for the accused President, whose arrest warrant is being viewed as an “insult directed at Muslims.”

WASHINGTON — Top banking regulators were taken aback late last year when a California congresswoman helped set up a meeting in which the chief executive of a bank with financial ties to her family asked them for up to $50 million in special bailout funds, Treasury officials said.

Representative Maxine Waters, Democrat of California, requested the September meeting on behalf of executives at OneUnited, one of the nation’s largest black-owned banks. Ms. Water’s husband, Sidney Williams, had served on the bank’s board of directors until early last year and has owned at least $250,000 in stock in the institution. Treasury officials said the session with nearly a dozen senior banking regulators had been intended to allow minority-owned banks and their trade association to discuss the losses they had incurred from the federal takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. But Kevin Cohee, OneUnited’s chief executive, instead seized the opportunity to plead for special assistance for his bank, federal officials said.

The Battle for Talk Radio: Powerful Foes Want to End the Gabfest

The 2008 election has been decided and one thing is clear: the enemies of talk radio are firmly in control of the White House and Congress. Sen. Chuck Schumer and his fellow Democrats are promising an all-out attack on talk radio.

With a new "Fairness Doctrine" backed by an Obama White House, political talk, as we know it, will end.

If these forces of darkness win, Rush, Imus, Hannity, Savage, Beck, and dozens of other major hosts will be muzzled by using federal regulations to control political talk.

So, what's their plan of attack?

As Newsmax magazine reveals in its special report, "The Battle for Talk Radio," leading liberals in Congress, the Democratic presidential candidates, and even some Republicans speak openly of their plans to end conservative talk radio using federal regulations.

Their weapon: a revived Fairness Doctrine, which would once again require stations to air divergent points of view — a clever ruse that makes station owners leery of airing controversial talk-radio hosts fearing law suits and federal sanctions.

With a new Fairness Doctrine, you could see many top conservative radio hosts canned.

This Newsmax special report also features an exclusive interview with Fox News host Bill O'Reilly who tells Newsmax there is no question a plan is being hatched. "The far-left kooks will try, but they will fail," O'Reilly says.

The Sneeze

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns flowing… And the traditional caps, they looked almost ... As grown up as they felt.

Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.

This class would NOT pray during the commencements----not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.

The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.

The speeches were nice, but they were routine..... until the final speech received a standing ovation.

A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened.
H
All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!!

The student on stage.. Simply looked at the audience and said, "GOD BLESS YOU,
Each and every one of you!" And he walked off stage...

The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.

Isn't this a wonderful story? Pass it on to all your friends.........and GOD BLESS YOU!!!! & This is a true story; it happened at the University of Maryland .

WSJ: Obama, Geithner Get Low Grades From Economists

http://moneynews.newsmax.com/streettalk/obama_geithner_low_grades/2009/03/12/191096.html?s=al&promo_code=7C08-1

President Barack Obama and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner received failing grades for their efforts to revive the world's largest economy, according to participants in the latest Wall Street Journal forecasting survey.

A majority of the 49 economists polled said they were dissatisfied with the administration's economic policies, according to the paper, a stark contrast to Obama's popularity ratings with the general public.

On average, the economists gave the president a grade of 59 out of 100, and although there was a broad range of marks, 42 percent of respondents rated Obama below 60, the paper said.

Geithner received an average grade of 51, while Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke scored better, with an average 71, the paper said.

On average, the economists now expect the economic downturn to end in October, according to the paper. In the previous survey, they had expected the bottom would arrive in August.

The economists' main criticism of the Obama team centered on delays in enacting key parts of plans to rescue banks, the paper said.

The economists' negative ratings mark a turnaround in opinion, the paper said. In December, before Obama took office, three-quarters of respondents said the incoming administration's economic team was better than the departing team under former President George W. Bush.

Geithner's latest marks are lower than the average grade of 57 that former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson received in January, the paper said.

"We have taken an unprecedented level of action toward economic recovery, accomplishing in weeks what took other countries years to do," the paper cited Treasury spokesman Isaac Baker as saying.

"While Wall Street and investors were disappointed when they didn't get a sweeping bank bailout, we've laid out a plan to stabilize the financial system while protecting the taxpayer and ensuring government funds are spent wisely," Baker said, according to the paper.

"This crisis was years in the making, and it will take time to solve."

The Badge

DEA officer stops at a ranch in Montana , and talks with an old rancher. He tells the rancher, 'I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs.'

The old rancher says, 'Okay, but do not go in that field over there' as he points out the location.

The DEA officer verbally explodes saying, 'Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me.' Reaching into his rear pant's pocket, he removes his badge and proudly displays it to the farmer. 'See this badge?
This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish...on any land. No questions asked or answers given. Have I made myself clear? Do you understand?'

The old rancher nods politely, apologizes, and goes about his chores.

A short time later, the old rancher hears loud screams and sees the DEA officer running for his life chased close behind by the rancher's prize bull. With every step the bull is gaining ground on the officer, and it seems likely that he'll get "horned" before he reaches safety. The officer is clearly terrified. The old rancher throws down his tools, runs to the fence and yells at the top of his lungs.....

'Your badge! Show him your badge!'

INCOME TAXES?

Your income taxes are normally due on April 15th unless that date falls on a Saturday or Sunday in which case they are due on Monday the 16th or 17th.

The good news is that I have learned of a recent change, and for the next 4 years, they will not be due until you are nominated to a cabinet position.
