Released Gitmo detainees return to terrorism

The Pentagon said this week that 61 former Guantanamo Bay detainees have returned to terrorism after their release (18 of them confirmed and 43 suspected). "It could be Iraq, Afghanistan, it could be acts of terrorism around the world," said spokesman Geoff Morrell. The recidivism rate is now 11 percent, up from seven percent in March 2008.

This recidivism is nothing to be concerned about in the new Era of Hope™, however. President-elect Obama plans to issue an executive order closing Guantanamo, where some 255 men are still being held. The Pentagon says that at least 110 detainees should never be released given the danger they pose to U.S. interests.

Reuters reports, "The Pentagon said it considers a former detainee's return to terrorism 'confirmed' when evidence shows direct involvement in terrorist activities. U.S. officials see a 'suspected' terrorism link when intelligence shows a plausible link with terrorist activities." In a statement, the Pentagon added, "Propaganda does not qualify as a terrorist activity." This should come as a relief to American Leftmedia outlets.

To keep and bear arms

A 70-year-old South Bend, Indiana, woman was hauling firewood from her garage into her home recently when a man came running at her from the street, chasing her inside. She grabbed her gun and dialed 911. After the assailant burst through her living room window, she held him at gunpoint until police arrived, advising him that he was at the wrong end of the muzzle to make any moves. She has become an instant star, having been contacted by "Good Morning America" and "Fox and Friends" about appearing on both shows. She even did a re-enactment for "Inside Edition," but she had to wait until she was released from the hospital after suffering a heart attack due to the stress of the event. "I'm hoping it will be inspiring to others," she said of the reason she agreed to film the segment, "to let them know that they can do this, that they can protect their homes. And if it comes to it, they can take extreme action."

"Gays" in the Military: A Revival of The Pink Swastika?

"Repealing the ban on open homosexuals serving in the U.S. military would be a mistake of historic proportions." warns a Massachusetts attorney and pastor who authored a book on homosexuality in Nazi Germany. Dr. Scott Lively is co-author, along with Jewish researcher Kevin E. Abrams, of The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party.

"Certainly there would be a mass exodus of normal men from a homosexualized military," said Lively, "probably leading to the reinstatement of compulsory service. (Watch the anti-war Lefties become supporters of the draft when it's used to remedy "homophobia") And yes there would be severe morale problems for normal men forced to live as the objects of sexual interest of other men with whom they share close quarters. However, the much bigger, longer-term problem is the threat of a homosexual takeover of the military branches.

"Most people don't realize that male homosexuality does not always lean to the effeminate. Historically, male homosexuality was much more often associated with hyper-masculine warrior societies which were usually very brutal and very politically aggressive. The most recent example was in Germany. Hitler's initial power base when he launched the Nazi Party was a private homosexual military force organized and trained by a notorious pederast named Gerhard Rossbach. Rossbach's homosexual partner Ernst Roehm, who was also Hitler's partner in forming and building the Nazi Party, converted the "gay" Rossbachbund into the dreaded SA Brownshirts."

"Many of the [S.A.'s] top leaders, beginning with its chief, [Ernst] Roehm, were notorious homosexual perverts." wrote the preeminent historian of the Nazi era, William Shirer in The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.

"Masculine-oriented male homosexuality tends also to be pederastic in nature," continued Lively, "meaning that it often involves relationships between adult men and teenage boys. The ancient Spartan army, for example, drafted young teens boys and paired them with adult homosexual soldiers. Brownshirt leaders in Germany recruited boys from the local
high schools for sex. Roehm himself once briefly fled Germany for South America over a scandal involving a young male prostitute. This bodes ill for the young men who will be our future draftees."

The Pink Swastika, now in its 4th edition, offers nearly 400 pages of documentation on the thesis that the Nazi Party was entirely controlled by militaristic male homosexuals throughout its short history.

School District’s Discriminatory Policy Prompts Lawsuit by Christian Group / Today on Liberty Live

www.LC.org

Liberty Counsel filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Georgia (CEF) against Cobb County School District, which has a discriminatory policy against religious groups. The lawsuit requests an immediate court hearing on the basis that the District policy is unconstitutional and is causing irreparable harm in violation of the First Amendment.

The District charges CEF a discriminatory fee for its Good News Clubs to use the school facilities after school, and its policy also discriminates in terms of the time the Christian group may use the facilities compared to similar secular groups.

Sarah Palin Unveils National 'SarahPAC' Organization
By: David A. Patten

In a major step closer to a future run for national office, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Tuesday established SarahPAC, a political action committee expected to play a key role in financing upcoming political endeavors.

“SarahPAC believes the Republican Party is at the threshold of a historic renaissance that will build a better future for all,” the SarahPAC.com Web site announced Tuesday. “Health care, education, and reform of government are among our key goals.”

The site, which invites donations, calls energy independence “a cornerstone of the economic security and progress that every American family wants and deserves.”

NBC’s Norah O’Donnell characterized the creation of the fund-raising organization as “a sign Sarah Palin wants to continue to be a player on the national political stage.” O’Donnell added that the Virginia-based PAC “is modeled after HillPAC, Hillary Clinton’s former political committee. Palin’s committee allows her to raise money for other Republicans.”

The PAC Web site describes the organization as “Dedicated to building America's future, supporting fresh ideas and candidates who share our vision for reform and innovation.”

The Alaska governor’s popularity remains undiminished since the election. O’Donnell reports Sen. John MCain’s running mate has over 465,300 supporters on Facebook.

Obama’s Bill Hands ACORN $5.2 Billion Bailout
Tuesday, January 27, 2009 7:06 PM

By: David A. Patten

A rising chorus of GOP leaders are protesting that the blockbuster Democratic stimulus package would provide up to a whopping $5.2 billion for ACORN, the left-leaning nonprofit group under federal investigation for massive voter fraud.

Most of the money is secreted away under an item in the now $836 billion package titled “Neighborhood Stabilization Programs.”

Ordinarily, neighborhood stabilization funds are distributed to local governments. But revised language in the stimulus bill would make the funds available directly to non-profit entities such as ACORN, the low-income housing organization whose pro-Democrat voter-registration activities have been blasted by Republicans. ACORN is cited by some for tipping the scales in the Democrats' favor in November.

According to Fox news, Sen. David Vitter, R-La., could appear to be a “payoff” for community groups’ partisan political activities in the last election cycle.

“It is of great concern to me,” Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., tells Newsmax. “I think our government has stayed strong because we’ve had a two-party system, we have had robust debate, people have felt that it was one man-one vote. They are privileged and grateful that they have that ability to cast that vote. And when something is done to belittle or diminish that, it is of great concern to me.”

Regarding ACORN, Blackburn added, “Additional funds going to these organizations that have tried to skew that system, it causes me great concern and I believe that it causes many of my colleagues great concern.”

The three-term congressman stopped short of suggesting the “neighborhood stabilization” money is a power grab by Democrats seeking partisan political advantage. But radio talk giant Rush Limbaugh did not.

Limbaugh warned his listeners Tuesday: “I’ll tell you what’s going on here: We, ladies & gentlemen, we’re funding Obama and the Democrats’ army on the street. We are funding the forces of the Democrat party’s re-election.”

Blackburn echoed the concerns of Republican leaders who object that the bloated package lacks the short-term stimulus a cut in payroll or sales taxes would provide.

According to Matthew Vadum of the Capitol Research Center, the stimulus package now under consideration includes:

$1 billion stashed away in Community Development Block Grant money that ACORN often vies for successfully.

$10 million to develop or refurbish low-income housing, a specialty of ACORN’s.

$4.19 billion to stave off foreclosures via the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Vadum states the current version of the bill would allow nonprofits to compete with cities and states for $3.44 billion of the money. Some $750 million, however, would be exclusively reserved for nonprofits such as ACORN, which is actually an umbrella organization for over 100 progressive organizations.

Regarding the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, Vadum writes in American Spectator: “Although ACORN operatives usually get their hands on such funds only after they have first passed through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or state and local governments, the new spending bill largely eliminates these dawdling middle men, making it easier to get Uncle Sam's largess directly into the hands of the same people who run ACORN's various vote fraud and extortion rackets. And the legislative package provides these funds without the usual prohibition on using government money for lobbying or political activities.”

The charges of partisan political payback appear to be resonating in part due to Obama’s longstanding association with partisan get-out-the-vote operations. He was endorsed by ACORN, and during the campaign paid an ACORN affiliate $832,600 to get-out-the-vote assistance. Early in his career, he led a voter drive for an ACORN-affiliated group called Project Vote.

It’s not the first time ACORN has been entangled in a bailout controversy. In September, House Republicans objected that the original $700 billion bailout package included $100 million for ACORN – a tiny fraction of the sums for ACORN now being considered in the stimulus package.

"The email Bag"

Why, Why .. . .

Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are almost dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on 'insufficient funds' when they already know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars; but have to check when you say the paint is still wet?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an 'S' in the word 'lisp'?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes? (saw them :Tuesday on Planet of the Apes marathon)

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, 'It's all right'? Well, it isn't all right. So why don't we say, 'That really hurt! Why don't you watch where you're going?'

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

And my FAVORITE...... The statistics on sanity is that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.
