WISDOM

If you support our national security issues, you may love and appreciate the United States of America, our Constitution with its’ freedoms, and our American flag.

If you support and practice our fiscal issues, you may value worldly possessions.

If you support and value our social issues, you may love Judeo-Christian values.

If you support and practice all these values, that is all good; an insignia of “Wisdom” . - Oscar Y. Harward

"Daily Motivations"

"To coach" comes from the root meaning "to bring a person from where they are to where they want to be." -- David Cottrell

"The Patriot Post"

"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it." -- Thomas Paine

"I acknowledge, in the ordinary course of government, that the exposition of the laws and Constitution devolves upon the judicial. But I beg to know upon what principle it can be contended that any one department draws from the Constitution greater powers than another in marking out the limits of the powers of the several departments." -- James Madison

"It's been my responsibility, my duty and very much my honor to serve as Commander in Chief of this nation's Armed Forces these past eight years. That is the most sacred, most important ask of the Presidency. Since our nation's founding, the primary obligation of the national government has been the common defense of these United States. But as I have sought to perform this sacred task as best I could, I have done so with the knowledge that my role in this day-to-day-to-day effort, from sunrise to sunrise, every moment of every hour of every day of every year, is a glancing one compared to yours. .... But it's not just your fellow Americans who owe you a debt. No, I believe many more do, for I believe that military service in the Armed Forces of the United States is a profound form of service to all humankind. You stand engaged in an effort to keep America safe at home, to protect our allies and interests abroad, to keep the seas and the skies free of threat. Just as America stands as an example to the world of the inestimable benefits of freedom and democracy, so too an America with the capacity to project her power for the purpose of protecting and expanding freedom and democracy abroad benefits the suffering people of the world." -- Ronald Reagan

"The Web"

"It is not enough to fight. It is the spirit which we bring to the fight that decides the issue. It's morale that wins the victory." -- George C. Marshall

"Don't fight the problem, decide it." -- George C. Marshall

"I don't want you fellows sitting around asking me what to do. I want you to tell me what to do." -- George C. Marshall

"Find Law" - Liberal environmentalists would rather protect a small amount of marine life, even though there is "no hard evidence" of "any harm" to marine life, rather than to protect real live American citizens. - oyh

Supreme Court: Navy Can Resume Sonar Allegedly Injuring Marine Mammals

WINTER V. NATURAL RES. DEFENSE COUNCIL, INC.

(U.S. Supreme Court, Nov. 12, 2008) - In an action brought by environmental groups claiming that the Navy's use of a particular type of sonar during training exercises in the waters off southern California causes serious injuries to marine mammals, a preliminary injunction against the Navy is vacated to the extent requested where: 1) although the Court does not discount plaintiffs' ecological, scientific, and recreational interests in marine mammals, such interests are plainly outweighed by the Navy's need to conduct realistic training exercises to ensure that it is able to neutralize the threat posed by enemy submarines; and 2) consequently, the district court abused its discretion in imposing the restrictions at issue on the Navy. Humanist Campaign to Remove God from Christmas is the Ultimate “Grinch” / CNN Update on California Marriage Case

www.LC.org

The American Humanist Association is plastering insulting ads on metro buses in the nation's Capital, questioning the existence of God.

The "Godless Holiday Campaign" ad states: "Why believe in a god? Just be good for goodness' sake." On the ad is a picture of a lady dressed in a Santa Claus suit.

The war against Christmas has obviously begun! We are committed to defending America from the same secularization faced by people living under communistic governments. We cannot let this country be ruled by godless "grinches."

It is the ultimate "grinch" to make fun of religious beliefs during a month when millions of people around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ! Why believe in God? Because Santa isn't the only one coming to town!

Read our News Release for more details.

You can fight back against the secularization of Christmas. Order a Help Save Christmas™ action pack.

Federal Appeals Court Considers Ten Commandments Display in County Courthouse

www.LC.org

Today Liberty Counsel is filing a brief with the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, which will consider whether a Foundations of American Law and Government display in a Kentucky county courthouse is constitutional when it contains documents that include the Ten Commandments.

Liberty Counsel represents Grayson County and argues that the inclusion of the Ten Commandments with the Foundations display is constitutional and should not have been removed after the ACLU filed a lawsuit against the county.

Supreme Court Hears Free Speech Case Today

This morning the United States Supreme Court is hearing oral argument in the case of Pleasant Grove City, Utah v. Summum. Liberty Counsel filed an amicus brief before the court in support of Pleasant Grove, which refused to display Summum's Seven Aphorisms. Summum is arguing that its Seven Aphorisms should be displayed, since the city displays a Ten Commandments monument donated by the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice is arguing the case on behalf of Pleasant Grove. Last month, Liberty University School of Law hosted Sekulow and his legal staff for a practice argument at the law school's Supreme Courtroom. We will keep you informed about the outcome of this case after the Court issues an opinion later this term.

"The email Bag"

Mary and her husband Jim had a dog named 'Lucky.' Lucky was a real character. Whenever Mary and Jim had company come for a weekend visit they would warn their friends to not leave their luggage open because Lucky would help himself to whatever struck his fancy. Inevitably, someone would forget and something would come up missing.

Mary or Jim would go to Lucky's toy box in the basement and there the treasure would be, amid all of Lucky's other favorite toys. Lucky always stashed his finds in his toy box and he was very particular that his toys stay in the box. It happened that Mary found out she had breast cancer. Something told her she was going to die of this disease.... in fact; she was just sure it was fatal.

She scheduled the double mastectomy, fear riding her shoulders. The night before she was to go to the hospital she cuddled with Lucky. A thought struck her...what would happen to Lucky? Although the three-year-old dog liked Jim, he was Mary's dog through and through. If I die, Lucky will be abandoned, Mary thought. He won't understand that I didn't want to leave him. The thought made her sadder than thinking of her own death.

The double mastectomy was harder on Mary than her doctors had anticipated and Mary was hospitalized for over two weeks. Jim took Lucky for his evening walk faithfully, but the little dog just drooped, whining and miserable. Finally the day came for Mary to leave the hospital. When she arrived home, Mary was so exhausted she couldn't even make it up the steps to her bedroom. Jim made his wife comfortable on the couch and left her to nap. Lucky stood watching Mary but he didn't come to her when she called. It made Mary sad but sleep soon overcame her and she dozed.

When Mary woke for a second she couldn't understand what was wrong. She couldn't move her head and her body felt heavy and hot. But panic soon gave way to laughter when Mary realized the problem. She was covered, literally blanketed, with every treasure Lucky owned! While she had slept, the sorrowing dog had made trip after trip to the basement bringing his beloved mistress all his favorite things in life. He had covered her with his love. Mary forgot about dying. Instead she and Lucky began living again, walking further and further together every day.

It's been 12 years now and Mary is still cancer-free. Lucky? He still steals treasures and stashes them in his toy box but Mary remains his greatest treasure.

Remember....live every day to the fullest. Each minute is a blessing from God. And never forget....the people who make a difference in our lives are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards They are the ones that care for us.

If you see someone without a smile today give them one of yours! Live simply. Love seriously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God .

A small request: All you are asked to do is keep this circulating.

Dear God, I pray for the cure of cancer. Amen

All you are asked to do is keep this circulating Even if it's to one more person. In memory of anyone you know that has been struck down by cancer or is still living with it.
